Cincinnati Zoo
Worth visiting!
The look on their faces!
I try to get to the zoo as often as I can afford to. It’s not the cheapest place in town, but of course if you were to buy a yearly membership that helps alot. First of all I am an artist so I am there for a shot not seen by everyone. In other words, I take mass pictures, then go through them later to find the exceptional ones. I also have a young granddaughter who I love dearly, and She has already bonded with nature, from our excursions in the “woods” a place we both hold dear. This began her interest in animals,(deer, raccoons, fox, olws, shorttailed moles, birds of all sorts, and even a bobcat, that I have spied on occaision. The zoo was an eyeopener for her. Now she is beginning to understand how deeply animals are ingrained in we humans. She had a ride on a camel, and loved the “birds of prey” show. This place is a wonderland. I have a love of plants and the zoo is a huge flower garden. The background for the animals and true as far as origin goes. The cathouse, (N0 not that kind) is quite amazine. The cats have a choice indoors, or out. You can walk around the outside, and then the inside.Cats, big or small are painted by me often. They are after all these thousands of years, domesticated, and wild, the most beautiful and intelligent, creatures on the planet. I think someone has already mentioned our white tigers, so I won’t spend any time on them, but they are a site!
