The most delicious cupcakes and cheese cake that I would fly across the country for. The lines can be long, but always worth it!

The Cupcake Cafe is way better – this place is just trendy right now. Everyone wants to stand in that line. The cupcakes are tasty, but feel like a brick in your stomache…the ones from the Cupcake Cafe are light and airy, just not in the cool neighborhood.

We didn’t have much of a line, either, which was awesome!

Yummy yummy cupcakes. I had a blue one and a green one. Vanilla cake, those colored frostings. Yummy yummy!

ok so there’s always a line out the door, wrapped around the corner. but, it’s one of those iconic new york city spots that you gotta try at least once! i live in nyc and i love heading down to magnolia for TWO very good reasons. their ice box cake and the banana pudding. because they are the best. sure, their cupcakes may not be the best but their ice box cake and banana pudding are. seriously. it’s worth every single calory!!

This is a cute shop to walk past and peek into the window, but definitely not worth waiting in line for a cupcake. Everytime I have friends/family in town, they want me to take them to Magnolia. After a few times, I finally said enough, and I let them go off on their own to find it.

The cupcakes are not the best, it’s just a lot of hype. The frosting tastes like someone mixed sugar and Crisco together.

Go if you must, but go to Buttercup bakery to avoid the lines. It’s the exact same recipe (the original owners had a feud. one went off and started Buttercup, using the same recipes).

The Magnolia Bakery has been famous for years, and for good reason! Their cupcakes are fabulous. They keep very odd hours, and I’ve found that if you go in the afternoon or evening the line will be out the door and around the corner. If you want to get some cupcakes with a very short wait in line, go in the morning – at least before noon. The inside is still crowded but they move you along very fast and you can get in, buy your cupcakes, and get out in 10 minutes.

They make wedding cakes, too!

Leslie and I are going here when I visit her in New York. I’m pretty much not looking forward to waiting in the giant line, but those cupcakes are just too cute.

so magnolia is suuuper small and there might be a line out the door for cupcakes but its fun and there is a park across the street so whatever, its worth the wait :)

we just went and waited in line for a good 45 minutes. it sounds crazy – and it is. but these are the best cupcakes ive ever had in my entire life

You visit here on the Sex and the City tour! It’s cute, but the frosting is just too much for me…
