I agree, go around Christmas! It is the epitome of the fantastical winter wonderland, with over-the-top decorations, rides, hot comfort food and drinks, and charming entertainment. I went when it was pouring down rain, and still had the most incredible time!

...it’s absolutely magical. And make sure you try one of the outdoor skating rinks nearby.

Tivoli is absolutely gorgeous! It’s a park as much as an amusement park. You pay one fee for admission to the park and then the rides are an additional fee. The rides are good but the park itself is much cheaper and worth going to on it’s own. At least part of the year they have free concerts on Friday nights once you’ve paid your admission fee.

I’ve been there in the winter when it was closed, very dissapointerd… I just have to go there sometime when it’s open.

i LOVED Tivoli! we met up with some kids from the us who were also with CISV and we had an absolute blast, plus since it was Hans Christian Andersons 200th birthday there was a massive show on stage and in the crowd, they know how to party!

Absolutely fun. It was like being in an entirely different country (Denmark didn’t do much for me). Fantastic time.

My friend’s sister worked there and always let us on her rides for free.

I loved this place, and I still have one of their tokens from 1989.

However, I was ultra-mega-super-hyper-uber disappointed that we didn’t go to legoland :( And this did not appease my dismay.

Tivoli is magical… it’s lush and colorful and fun and charming. Since it’s smaller than the mega-theme parks in America, it has a more intimate vibe. The lights, the gardens, the sounds, the colors, everything draws you in. Plus, I got a kick out of the rides… you don’t have to be a little kid to have a good time!!

A must see when you’re in Copenhagen!
