Paris On The Platte

Tonight I sit in peaceful me.

Table cluttered with implements of art & chi tea.

Timeless artifacts gather scribble like cobwebs.

Coffee house hum with perfect window seat.

This is Paris, as out of place as me.

Nice place to go have a drink and enjoy company, but only if you’re willing to stick around for awhile. I ordered my drink at 10:00, finished it by 10:15, asked for the check at 11:00 (after not seeing the waiter for over 30 minutes), didn’t receive it until midnight, and wasn’t able to get out of there until 12:30.

Just a week ago for the first time in 5 years. It seemed like the crowd had definately changed and the prices went up. Would I go again? Probably not. But their Chai Tea is pretty hard to beat anywhere else. I miss the old bookstore that was next door too.

Ehh, Paris on the Platte is a good place, but it used to be better. I think it’s under new management, so they’re a LOT more stuck up and into following rules more than they used to be. If you like to sit around a bunch of the ‘next great american novel’ writers on their laptops, giving you glares and smoking their pipes, go there. Cool art on the walls though. Eh, that’s all.

Hot chocolate!!!!!!!!! Delicious sandwich, too! And warm almond milk, that hits the spot on a cold day! =)

and ill buy u a cup of their own roasted brew!

All I can say is this… pitcher of hot chocolate!!
