Worth visiting!

Its been many years since I've been there...

It was a very small town at the time but there were several interesting places. I enjoyed the Hotel Crittenden, which was in the process of being restored at the time. Somewhere nearby there was also a beautiful herb farm. If you like deer-hunting, then Coudersport is really your kind of place in the fall!

Excellent Host

I’ve finally been able to get back online thanks to my current travel host. He’s shown me quite a bit of Coudersport, from the movie theatre to the ambulance hall. He even took me to some meetings at work.

Coudersport is a nice little town. There doesn’t seem to be a lot to do, but it is surrounded my lovely mountains and trees. It’s a nice place to visit. I’d come back if I had the opportunity.

I would...

like to pop into Coudersport, buy Todd a beer, have a talk (not stalk), and thank him personally for his regular cheers. Oh, and I wouldn’t mind reading his “porn”, but I probably should have kept that bit quiet!

There is a town reclaimed by nature near Coudersport

Nearby there is a town that was flooded when the dam burst about 80 years ago. It’s neat to see how nature has reclaimed it.

Family Plot

My family was all over town 100 years ago, including the town M.D., the Engineer and Conductor on the local railroad, the lady who did the quilt that is on display in the Hist. Society, the guy who ran the jewelry store, the Minister at the Presbyterian church, a bunch of guys at Masonic Hall, and a whole lineup of old guys laid out on the hill at Eulalia Cemetery. Someday I’ll be up there, too. A nice quiet, pretty little small-town America County-Seat type of place. Not a big tourist center, though. What do you do on Saturday night?
