lives here. Most of my mothers family, actually. They live out in this tiny little commune-type plece that consists of about 6 double wides. All the decorating is still from the 70’s because everyone who lives there is pretty old. The area itself is AMAZING. Beautiful trees and flowers. They have a huge flower garden there which loved hanging out in as a child. I learned to drive stick on the 2 mile long driveway. Except for the tiny splotch of grass, trees, flowers and family, there is desert. for miles and miles. Just as far as they eye can see. It’s sort of strange at night, but very peaceful at the same time. I highly reccomend it.

My buddy’s car broke down here while travelling cross country east -> west. People were super friendly (the first guy we saw in town got out of his car, had a full box of tools and diagnosed our car and led us to the auto shop) and we got kicked out of a couple of casinos while waiting for our greyhound back to Cali. Not much in the way of culture or diversity here. What do people that live around here do for any fun?!?

We were at the Truckstop getting fuel. The Model T, I believe it’s called. Anyway, I was standing there waiting for my co-driver to pay for fuel. I idly stuck 5 quarters in the slot machine right next to the door, pulled the handle, and the lights and sirens went off! Scared me silly! Next, coins started pouring out, then something about seeing the manager, but everyone was already gathered around. I was shocked when I counted the loot!

I lived there for 11 years. I like it. It’s small!
