Small town with a small college that’s been mostly resting on its reputation for the last fifty years.

Worth a visit only if you’re nearby or it’s on your way and there’s something going on on campus that day. Otherwise, it’s cute, but in pretty much the same way most other flatland midwestern small towns are cute.

Oberlin is crazy small, and very flat (much like the rest of Ohio), but it is a fun college town.

Oh, Oberlin. Simulteanously the best and worst decision I ever made was to attend college here. For all of it’s faults, I would not be the person I am today if not for the three years spent in this tiny college town 35 miles west of Cleveland. If you’re going to visit Oberlin, go when school is in session.

Wow, where to begin. Just because it’s in the middle of nowhere doesn’t mean things don’t happen. Where else do you get Scottish Games and first class Symphony performances in the same 3000-town? Not to mention one of the top Colleges and Conservatories in the country.

I count myself fortunate to have grown up in Oberlin. In many ways it made me who I am.
