Platform 9 3/4

While waiting to catch the train to Edinburgh I happened to spot Platform 9 3/4. I was amazed to see it there.

Silly muggles have obviously lost my acceptance letter at the post office, otherwise I wouldn’t have had any problems getting onto the platform and to the train to Hogwarts. Shame~ (and I guess I was late anyways.)

Visited while living in Germany. England is one of my favorite places and seeing platform 9 3/4 was so exiting because it was a place I read about in one of my favorite book series. Myself, my brother and sister all tried going through, lol.

The quintessential place to go for any Harry Potter fan.

When I was there, the area was pretty desolate. Everyone seemed to be passing it by—which was quite nice, really :]

Totally touristy and terribly tacky but it has to be done. I actually had to elbow my way through a small crowd to have a go.

The “Platform” is not actually on a platform as King’s Cross Station does not have a platform between tracks 9 and 10. The sign and the luggage cart (bolted to the wall) are on the outside wall of the building containing tracks 9 and 10.

I’m a massive fan of HP and travelled through Kings X on a weekely basis at one bit and loved going past this platform.. the last time i went i was taking a photo and couldn’t get nearist for these korean tourists. They hardly spoke any english when i tried to talk to them, but they could say “Harry Potter – Fantastic”. i think that’s great :)

I had never heard of this place. My sister and i stumbled across it while we were in King’s Cross. Pretty cool surprise as we both love Harry Potter.

being a big harry potter fan i was so excited to go, but was upset because it was like a shopping cart in the wall. i thought they would make it a little more intresting and cool but its not even the place where they filmed it.

At first it was difficult to find it until I asked a manager of King’s cross

I wonder if my face would end up too badly had I tried to go through it my troley :P
