John F. Kennedy International Airport aka: JFK

After squeezing on to the air train I made it to the Delta terminal and waited in line for an elevator to take us down. What no option for stairs? The terminal was crowded and unorganized. Then I got to sit on a plane for 3 hours before takeoff. Not the best first impression.

I used to live 5 minutes or less, away from JFK. I loved watching the planes fly over my house and land on the runway, the planes would fly so close to my house that the house would shake, and if I was on the phone I would have to put the call on hold because of the plane flying past my window. Great Experience, more like priceless.

very big, not the best airport in the world by any means. i try to avoid JFK. other airports are much nicer. they should rebuild JFK.

To China i flew!

My experience here was a bit overwhelming because I failed to meet up with the person who was supposed to meet me and I just got a taxi to the hotel after waiting a few hours.

Then on the way back, the taxi driver circled the airport 6 or so times in confusing despite my saying, and finally yelling TERMINAL 4, TURN RIGHT THERE!!! I even showed him my itinerary that said ‘air tahiti’ and he saw the board that said terminal 4, air tahiti.

And then there was the sadness of saying goodbye to someone that will never leave my memory :(

This was where I first set foot on American soil. (Or perhaps that should be ‘concrete.’)It was all quite scary and exciting.

I can’t say I’m particularly overwhelmed or moved by it, but there it is and all. Best landing I had there was when I needed to beat the storm that was about to move in and shut down the airport for a couple of hours—this was important because if I couldn’t get into Manhattan quickly enough I’d miss my cousin’s rehearsal dinner for his wedding. We were just able to land before the shutdown and somehow I made into town in time, so there’s your happy memory.

for me, jfk is a part in the whole story of me and my boyfriend, so it will be special to me always.
