not gonna lie, i’ve spent a lot of time in sandpoint. it kinda sucks, there’s nothing to do, everything closes really early and its really cold and wet. if you’re planning on visiting, you should probably bring a jacket or rain coat.

Growing up in Southern California is great. But the bad thing about it is that although the weather is great, the weather is great. It simply never changes. It is the same day after day. Also there isn’t any nature to speak of. There are man-made buildings and dirt. That’s it. When I went to Sandpoint it was so different. The air was crisp and clean and the trees greeted you with their soft fragrance. It was like this place had bottled up innocence and opened it up only for me. You haven’t lived until you have experienced the wonder of Sandpoint.

I love Sandpoint! I have lived here for almost 14 years! I can’t believe it! We have culture, we have new and old hippies, we have real people, we have fake people! Don’t move here; I want to keep the small town atmosphere! You are welcome to visit, enjoy, and go home. The winters are so full of snow! The summers get just hot enough, not too hot! The only downfall: TRAFFIC.

I went to Sandpoint on a business trip recently, and told a guy at The Home Depot I liked Sandpoint, he bluntly said “no you don’t”.
They want to keep it a secret…I’m telling everybody.

Nice little town on the shores of Lake Pend’Orielle, a little artsy, a little touristy, a little outdoorsy. There’s all the water and lake activities and there’s also Schweitzer Mountain Ski Hill just outside town, so there’s winter recreation also. And there’s also a little bit left of the Idaho agricultural and timber history.
