Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

I lived there and had many friends! Now I’m in cold northeastern Illinois and I miss it..it’s been almost 7 years, but it’s definatly my favorite place I’ve lived. I went to Blackbob elementary I remember it was a great school:)

I live here

Which is all a place needs to be exceptional and worth it for my friends to visit. But I can’t suggest it as a popular destination spot for those who aren’t lucky enough to know ME!

my new "home"

My parents moved here after I already lived in California. So now when I go “home” to visit my parents, I go to Olathe. Which is just fine with me because I actually like visiting there. It has the feeling of a small town, but with plenty of shopping and restaurants and is a short drive from downtown Kansas City and Westport.

I attend college here.

I’m currently in my last semester at MidAmerica Nazarene University. I love Olathe. I came from a small town and was afraid to move to the city. I am more of a city girl now than anything…I Love Olathe!

Currently living here!

We have lived here 2 1/2 years and we love it!!! There are tons of community events and it is a very friendly town. My area is in the “slums” but it isn’t bad at all!!!
Great place to raise kids!

Not worth visiting!

just a fella who lives there

It is an alright little burb that blew up big when those Urban flight types movements outwards helped the suburbs rapidly engulf the once independent little city on the Southwest side of the Kansas City Metropolitan region. Farmer’s Markets, Old Settler’s Homestead Museums and quaint Back To School Parades side by side with Strip Malled Super-Supermarkets and 30 Screen Movie complexes make for one odd dichotomy that is for sure.
