Best and Worst Moments of Leeds Festival 2002

Here are my memorable moments from Leeds 2002:

Worst: wheeling a large suitcase for miles, realizing I’d forgotten to pack my tent poles, being subject to a random ass grabbing

Best: meeting two girls (Marnie and Pip) who let me camp on their site, great performances, spotting Robert Turner of BRMC and getting his autograph while grinning uncontrollably.

In case you’re wondering, he wrote “One is better than nuthin’” on my festival program.

It was my very first festival and I had the most amazing time there..
Messy? That’s the best part of festivals!
I would do it again anytime if it werent for the distance (and costs) now :(

Oasis headlined in 2000 they were a bit boring though so we left with 20 mins to go. Best part of the day was getting free cider and watching uncle peter from reeves and mortimer.
Very muddy day , wouldnt go again but for a first time id recommend

i was at the 2001 festival 2 it was Good!! I loved moshing and crowd surfing was well worth the money!!!

I went with a group of friends in 2001 and saw Marilyn Manson, Eminem and D12 and The Manics. It was my first time camping, which was pretty horrible but improved as I drank more vodka. We were v near the portaloos when they were set on fire on the last night, it was quite a smelly, sad sight but did not spoil a great experience.

It was absolutely brilliant and well worth going.

I saw: Alkaline Trio, Maximo Park (v good), Funeral For A Friend, Marilyn Manson, The Futureheads, Bloc Party, Goldie Lookin Chain (v funny), The Wedding Present, Dropkick Murphys, Graham Coxon, Elbow (v good), The Coral (v good), Queens Of The Stoneage (v good), The Killers (absolutely fantastic), Nine Black Alps, Dinosaur JR (pretty rubbish), The Charlatans, Razorlight, Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters (absolutely fantastic).

I have wanted to go to the Leeds festival for years. My tickets finally arrived yesterday so in a couple of weeks I will be there!!!
