A review of this place: "I surrender"

We stuffed ourselves silly here, and absolutely loved it. We drank Dawa’s and tried so many different meats for the first time, and I found out that camel tastes exactly like you’d think it tastes (think: old saddle) It is a really great time that you would be pitied to miss.

I spent less than a day iin Kenya traveling from Tanzania to the airport but did get to stop here for a nice long lunch. Well worth a visit. Leave your vegetarian friends in the Land Rover though.

Nice Place

I´ve been at the carnivore in 1995.
Great meals and a good party on a saturday night.
Also, you should have some of these “DAWA” drinks.
awesome!

Who thinks these places up?

During a three week short term mission trip, we were taken here for the “experience,” which indeed it was. At one point, one of the waiters came by asking if we wanted any chicken hearts, this after already having crocodile, zebra and hartebeest. One of my colleagues looked at him and said, “No, I like chicken liver, but not the heart.” Within minutes, he was back with a plate of chicken livers for us!

Touristy fun!

If you like meat, then Carnivore is the place for you. This restaurant specialized in meat. The meat is cooked over a big fire and they bring it around your table on swords and carve it right onto your steaming hot, cast iron plate. It’s alot of fun, a definite must for the first time you visit Nairobi.
