Smells Like Cow

was when my friends GJ and Ken lived there
Now that they’ve moved to another part of CO we don’t wander up there anymore

Back in my youth, I spent a year in Greeley. The college kids were great. In front of the electric company building in old downtown, a mosaic in stone of Reddy Killowatt, not to be confused with the zip code stick figure, in the sidewalk, was a popular lay-down-on-the-sidewalk-for-a-photo-op place. My kid now attends UNC there. I really should visit and see if Reddy is still waiting.

The Cinco de Mayo celebration, the schools, the PARKS, my gosh people, there’s almost a park on every block!

It’s a wee bit too agricultural for my taste. In the Independence Day parade this year, one of the agribusiness companies drove a giant pesticide sprayer down the street blowing bubbles!

I can’t wait to leave.

Spent two years there as an undergrad at Northern Colorado. Great food, awesome bars, and Cinco de Mayo.

I grew up in a very agricultural area, so Greeley felt just like going home.
