Kennebunkport

I just want to be able to say I’ve been here because it’s a cute, funny name, like Kalamazoo.

I went a few summers ago. I was laying out at the pool and some woman from Nordstroms came up to me and asked me if I would like to pose for a few pictures for there catalog the next day. Apparently Nordstrom shoots all their catalogs there. It was absolutely amazing.

We had a great time driving around the coast and checking out Ocean Ave. The rocky (and in our case snowy) coast was stunning.

Going in late October, it’s one of the few places open along the charming New England Coast.

Breathtaking views aside, please, please, please try the lobster chowder and clam chowder at the restuarants in Maine! It defines the experience!

If you go in the beginning of June, alot of the shops and restaurants close early, so there isn’t a whole lot to do in the evening.

I met my husband working at the Colony Hotel.

Spent the most memorable summer of my childhood, in 1978. A whole month on the sands of GRB! (sigh!!!!)

some of my friends have a house up in kennebunkport, & i went there for the first time a couple of years back… it’s such a gorgeous part of the USA. extremely tranquil & picturesque. i highly reccomend visiting there.

We took a quick trip up to Maine this past Saturday afternoon. The traffic was a bit dense on the way up from Boston but once we got through some of the clogged spots it was fairly quick. We stopped in Kennebunkport and walked out onto the rock piers. I swear it was 10 or 15 degrees cooler out there. We talked and watched the boats. I’d love to come back and see the rest of Maine sometime soon.

Wonderful little town…my home all my life. i come home for college breaks and stuff. I am down in Philadelphia. It is nice just to relax and take a break.
