Tyler

I’ve lived in Tyler before and it was awful. Packed to the rafters with self-righteous right-wing bigots. I know there are exceptions and azaleas/roses are pretty and all, but there is no good reason to schlep to this one-horse town. Except the zoo. It’s great. I can’t believe I’m thinking about going back to UT Tyler because it’s convenient/cheap.

I lived in tyler for a while and I had a love/hate relationship with it. There are nice parks and the rose garden is lovely. The Discovery Science Place is an awesome kids’ museum. Also lots of crime.

I love Tyler. Yes, you have to weed through some of the “good ol’ boy” network, but all in all it’s a great place to raise a family. I moved here from a crime ridden, girly bar on every corner type place where the schools stunk and the ambition level was at about 0. Tyler is clean, the people are kind, the weather is great and my kids love it here. I’d rather deal w/”conservative” than derilict any day!

I work in tyler prn on an ambulance, mostly nice people. Work with good people.

Not exactly a place to Travel to. There is NOTHING to do! Its a college town that hides the fact that they have colleges! There is no college scene, and nothing to do as well as nothing to see.

Tyler sucks! i hate it so much!! i don’t see why anyone would want to visit here! there’s nothing to do, the whole city consists of nothing but churches and gas stations…

Tyler is a town run by the massive Green Acres Baptist Church! Do you know what that means? THERE”S NOTHING TO DO! They’re ten golf courses (Maybe more!) in the immediete area, and that’s about it! Even the three colleges here are lame.

This is where I was born. What other town has the only two hospitals in town right next to each other?

or stay if you’re wanting to settle down. Called the Rose Capital of the World and is also known for its beautiful azaleas. Rich, conservative, and square town. No night life. Unless you consider Youth Group a hoot. Very clean and pretty town. Dry county—no homeless. Very idyllic family, church and God kind of town. If you think this sounds nice, go for it. Had about all of it I can swallow.
