Bluenose Connection
Noting all the comments about the Bluenose thought I should add that my Great Grandfather was the Head Carpenter who built the original Bluenose. (when you only have one family claim to fame you need to make note of it !!!)

My boy and I spent a week there before the season started, so we got to see it quiet and touristless. It was lovely. Many beautiful homes, and many friendly people. We are planning a move to Canada (my home) from Germany (his), and will try to find someplace in this area because we just loved it!

Really pretty town, and mmm had the best clam chouder there…YUM! I forget where though haha, but the hospitality there is great!

You’ll love that place with the home of the nice sailboat The Bluenose II witch is depicted on the canadian’s dime!

Gorgeous little town with a lovely waterfront. Sea kayaking with friends. A terrific afternoon away from the job in Halifax that summer.

Besides being the home of the Bluenose (ever own a Canadian dime?) it is a very funky spot. Picturesque too.

My dad was born in Lunenburg and I have lots of family there I have not seen in 40 years so I would love to go back.
