Tohono Chul Park

Why I want to go to this place

I want to go here because I think it is probably right where the Tohono O’odham Reservation is. That is my heritage. My grandma is full blooded Native American and was raised on the reservation.

Tohono Chul Park

Worth visiting!

It was a beautiful day for a wedding!

My husband and I were married in the park in May 1995. The weather was wonderful and the landscaping could not have been more perfect. We also like to go to the park once a year to watch the night-blooming cereus bloom. The reason we only go once a year is because these particular plants only bloom one time each year! There are hundreds in the park. Quite a sight to see!

Worth visiting!

nice scenery, good food

Tohono Chul has a small desert nature preserve that’s nice to wander around in, as well as a Tea Room with pretty tasty food (though I’d recommend staying away from the electric pink Prickly Pear Lemonade). I had some fantastic enchilada eggs for brunch the last time I was there.
