Grand Central Terminal aka: Grand Central Station

The ceiling is so high I got dizzy looking up at it. It makes you feel like you’re still outside. An awesome place, I could hang out there all day gawking at the architecture alone.

I thought the Main Hall was beautiful. But other than that it was just okay. I might have enjoyed it more if I wasn’t dragging my 40 pound luggage around, though. :]

When facing the east, look at the ceiling, you’l see a dark path of brown, that is the only spot left of the orginal work of the grand central. When they renovated the place, they kept just that small portion.

Yes, I’ve been before. But I could go 1000 more times. There is something magical about arriving off the train. The whole city awaits. Such potential!

My boyfriend and I met here for the first time. It’s been a favorite for us ever since!

Easily my favourite place in NYC, has a richness to it, stunning to look at, and a real energy about it. Think of all those writers who wrote about it, the films there, like fisher king, Carlito’s way to the novels of Richard yates and William Maxwell.. awesome station

This is a good place to go if you are looking for a trian.

This place was much less scary that I anticipated as an overseas tourist. Nobody pushed me over or mugged me, there were people breakdancing for money, rather than begging for it, and the rats were kinda cute, and stuck to the train tracks. It was easy to change trains here because the signs told you where to go, and I didn’t feel like such a stupid tourist after all.

Grand Central Station = a Palace in an urban scape.

Back in ‘97 I was working on a project in CT. One night we took the train in to NY to do some sightseeing. Grand Central Station is quite beautiful.
