Longmont

I know a friend who is a teacher there.

Seeing as how I currently live here…

I grew up here. 15 minutes to Boulder and the mountains, half an hour from Denver. Not too exciting to vacation, but a nice place to live. I miss Woolworths. :O(

There are places nearby that overshadow Longmont, but this is a wonderful town, and we don’t mind not getting so much attention. Where I live, I can easily walk (with my kids) to great places. There is easy access to wilderness or to the big city. It’s peaceful and the crime rate is low. The weather is more often nice than not, even in the middle of winter. If you have a bad time here, it’s probably you, not the place. It would take some outrageiously good offer to get me to move.

Then again, go read the ones who say it’s not worth visiting. It’s getting a little crowded these days, so maybe you should turn your attention somewhere else …

Okay, maybe a stray coyote or an abundance of prairie dogs, and bull snakes. Winds up to 70 mph and ice and snow.

Pretty nice, all things considered. Peaceful little town within short distance of some very active places, and some very secluded places.
