Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

Overall, it’s worth visiting. In addition to cars, there are exhibits for assembly lines, furniture(!), plastic mold-injected trinkets (like: a Ford figurine, Lincoln’s head, and the coveted Oscar Meyer Wienermobile), trains and roadside arcana. I was particularly surprised how much the Holiday Inn display rekindled memories of family vacations.

The admission fee for the museum tacks on an additional $5 for parking. (Thus, it’s $19, not $14.)

Before you go, check if the factory is idle (as it was for my visit). They shut down periodically to transition to a new model year.

Henry Ford Museum

The Museum is much more than cars! It is a wonderful snapshot of the innovations and innovators that make America #1.

This is a world class technology museum!

The Henry Ford

Worth visiting!

I went with my family many summers ago

and it was definitely worth it. I thought it would be sort of boring, but it had lots of interactive stuff at the time we went. I got to make my candlestick and candles. I definitely loved it there. Happy times.

If you are a history buff or into nostalgia or ???

If you like ANYTHING that isn’t around anymore, DEFINATELY check this place out! Antique/classic/historic vehicles (the Kennedy assasination limosine, the Rosa Parks bus, a Tucker, LOTS more), old-time diners (they have a few), Buckminster Fuller’s Dymaxion House, historic buildings [Edison’s Menlo Park building(s?), lots of other historic buildings from AROUND THE COUNTRY], special exhibits, old-time base ball played under 1860’s (original) rules in the summer (including the World Tournament of Base Ball) and much, MUCH MORE! This is a really fun place to visit, its got a lot of neat historical artifacts, that and a lot of its hands-on. Its more like a living Museum, with live demonstrations of things and staff members who pretend they live in whatever era their exhibit is in. Very knowledgeable staff too. Fun place for the whole family. Expect a good amount of walking though.
