Pat's King Of Steaks

I liked Pat’s better then Geno’s even if I was freaked out to order haha!

Geno’s makes better steaks.

Taste = pretty much the same as Geno’s

Atmosphere = slightly better due to the lack of highly offensive signs, but the staff were still surlier than even New Yorkers.

i went here & just ordered french fries because i’m vegetarian & they nearly killed me.

I tried a Geno’s cheesesteak and then immediately afterwards, lined up to get one from Pat’s. It must be said, while service at Geno’s was a bit less gruff, the cheesesteak from Pat’s was better.

I rolled up here after a shitty night at AC… got cheese steak @ 5am passed out in the car and got another one when i woke up to drive home..

The cheez wiz all over my fries..in a cup…threw me for a loop. So did the crunchy whole dried red peppers. The cherry peppers where yummy. I sat and ate one of these bad boys across from a Vegetarian. Funny.

On my last Philly visit we did a “Steak-off”.
First night was Jim’s on South Street. Next night was 1 each, a steak from Geno’s and Pat’s.

Everyone has a favorite and mine is Jim’s but Pat’s runs a close 2nd with Geno’s trailing.

Oh yes, I left Philly heavier I’m sure, but happy for having done it.

My family and I ate a Pat’s King of Steaks while in Philly. While I enjoyed the experince, I found the Philly Steak and Cheese I had the day before to be much better. Pat’s has the atmosphere, but they could use some lessons on a tastier sandwitch from their competitors. The atmosphere is cool from the stand point that the place is on this little island beteen three streets and surrounded by row houses. (At least that is what they are called in Baltimore.) The south Philly neighborhood was sort of cool. The photographs of all the celebrities who had eaten there was also cool.
