Reflecting Pool

first thing i though when i saw this on here was forest gump lol

it was cool to see somehting thats been in many movies.

Gave me a Forrest Gump moment.

It was empty and smelled. But it was still worth seeing.

...but I had to have been, if only because I was on the Mall and at the Lincoln Memorial and all that. So there’s probably a very old photo somewhere that I took which looks up the length of the Pool itself. And beyond that I admit I don’t have much to say! Always looks nice in other photos, though.

The reflecting pool, located between the Lincoln Memorial and the World War II Memorial, is one of those must-see things in D.C. Sometimes it’s yicky-murky or empty, but I think the Park Service makes sure that the pool is full during the biggest times for tourist visits, like Memorial Day and Fourth of July. Watch out for duck poo along the sides.
