Rumour has it all the doors to the buildings face South on this campus. Any idea why?

I live in Bryan, Texas, about an hour and 45 minutes from Austin. After graduating high school, several of my good friends got accepted to U.T. and moved to Austin. During our freshman year of college, those of us who stayed in Bryan decided to go visit our friends in Austin. We drove down there on a Friday afternoon and immediately lit up a bowl of some really good hydro our friend John had found in town. This would be the start of a wonderful relationship between the guys in our crew and the drugs of Austin, TX. Well on Friday night we were decently blazed and decided to buy some Magic Mushrooms and some Acid. Thats the thing about Austin, whatever drug you want is merely a phone call away. Anyway we dropped the shrooms and acid and sat back to watch Requiem For A Dream and smoke a little more dro while the hallucinogens kicked in. Needless to say we never finished the movie. In fact we all looked at each other and realized we couldnt remember what movie we had just been watching. We decided to go out on the balcony and have a cigarette break, but when we looked at the street outside the cars weren’t driving down the street, they were swimming and floating down the street. The Acid was really starting to take hold by now and for some reason someone came up with the brilliant plan to go up the the roof of the apartments. We made the trip up to the roof fine, except we looked like a group of guys tripping hard on psychadelic drugs. We were wandering around the hallways, touching the walls and mumbling random acid-thoughts. We had only been on the roof a few minutes when the roof door opened and out steps a security guard. We thought we were fucked but he ended up being cool and chatted with us for a few minutes. We made it back down to the dorm and started to really trip, i mean seeing things, chasers, disassociative feelings, everything. By the time we all passed out it was 7 in the morning because we stayed up to watch the sun rise. The next night was crazy as well but I’m tired of typing. To sum up: Go to Austin and get crazy fucked up on drugs and you’ll have a great time!

Four years and two degrees. Time of my life, so far.

Austin’s a really nice city, and well-priced considering. Campus has lots of areas that are good for just sitting outside and eating lunch. The Knighthood of Buh, an absurdist humor student organization, often puts on entertaining events. The picture I uploaded is from one of their events in the West Mall.
