Silicon Valley

It was a quick business trip in 1999. I installed a router at a data center for our ISP. I was only able to visit The Tech Museum, and Cisco Systems. I’ll be back – when I have my startup!

The dot.com boom of the late 90’s was a blast!

It fell out of my pocket in a cab. When I called the guy on someone else’s phone, he was in SF. When I called him again for another ride and to get my phone, he didn’t answer.

So that’s the last time I saw my second Nokia 6620.

Worth visiting/living here, if you’re a geek. If not, you might want to stay away.

Worth visiting just to see how bleak it is. But San Mateo isn’t the heart of Silicon Valley, no matter what Po Bronson says.

Housing is exorbitant.
Salaries are generally higher than other places.
The weather is as good as they say.
