fairhop = too expensive. but the pier is cool, and the pub has a lot of beers.

It was today. Or yesterday rather (Sunday). I finally got to see the condition of the pier. It’s nowhere near being completely reconstructed, but they’re working on it. I visited the park near the pier, and took lots of picture of the ducks and seagulls flying.
There were a lot of people on the beach, since the whether was ideal for it. I was with my grandmother, taking her on an outing, since she can’t drive herself anymore.

Fairhope is a beautiful bayside town. It’s known as an artist’s haven, and every year an arts & crafts festival is held downtown. There are lots of little shops and galleries, and the town is quite picturesque. The pier is nice, but it was destroyed in the last 2 hurricanes, and I don’t know if it’s been rebuilt yet.

such a quaint little town just minutes away from mobile. i have many relatives there and i always love the time i spend in fairhope. just a quick walk down to the pier (on the mobile bay) from downtown. this is one of those places where you can just enjoy being.

my grandparents live here. it’s really a beautiful town and nice place to live for older people. its about an hour away from orange beach but you don’t have to deal with all the vacationers in fairhope. it’s very calm and right across the bay from mobile. my aunt owns a restaurant there that was visited frequently by fannie flagg. oooh ahhh.
