I’m pretty sure there is a study abroad program from my university to this city… Maybe I can get involved with it. :)

over 2 years agoVery friendly people, good choice of pubs. Architecture is a bit boring. Prices of beer varies from place to place. Would only recommend a week here. Get out of the city and ride around the northern lakes on a bike. I went in September 07 to work for 2 weeks and expect to go back next May.
over 5 years agoI have lived here since September 2005 and I love it! My roots are in Mid Finland so it was like coming to home. This city is really pretty and small and big enough at the same time.
over 6 years agoI don’t think the city as such is very interesting, nor am I very keen on the (famed) architecture of the Uni. But the city has an absolutely amazing summer arts festival, which has brought me back several times. The locals are hospitable and the prices very reasonable for Finland. Recommended!
over 7 years agoFirst time I visited it in 2001 and liked to come back ever since.
It’s a calm town, light and cozy.
I like (also) modern architecture so I went to see Aalto places there, then I discovered the university and “Agora” buildings …
I have been living in Jyväskylä for most of my life.
