About ten years ago, I was in Anaheim to go to Disney, and we pretty much finished the whole park in a day, so we decided to go up to Magic Mountain for a day and check out the rides.
We planned on spending all day at the park, and hoped to hit a ride an hour, plus an hour for lunch, and we did a little better than that. The lines were pretty bad, and worse than the lines were all of the linejumpers and rowdiness happening in the park.
The psyclone was a trip, even moreso now that I’ve rode the real cyclone a few times. The ninja and revolution were also pretty incredible. The Superman ride had just opened that year, but they were running 2 hour+ lines, so we didn’t even try.
What I remember most was that after a few hours of the heat, I thought we should go on the water ride to cool off. We went on the thing where a whitewater raft goes down the river and sort of bounces around with the current. Right as we were at the front of the boat, it dropped down a small waterfall, and COMPLETELY soaked us. I was like about as wet as you’d be if you jumped in a swimming pool with your clothes on. I had to wring out my shirt and dump water out of my shoes. But I wasn’t hot for the rest of the day!
