Six Flags Magic Mountain

I’ve been there a few times and always had fun. Of course it’s hot, it’s the valley, but they have a water park too. I hear that they’re moving Magic Mountain to Vegas, but we’ll see!

I used to live in Santa Clarita where six flags is. Most of my friends used to work here and they hated it because they worked there but it is a lot of fun and a great place for kids. I totally recommend you go before they tear it down!

1992, I cried for hours because I wasn’t tall enough for the roller coaster..

this place is wonderful. if you can get over hiking up hill, watching teenagers grope eachother in line and filth, it’s a great time. the rides are awesome. the lines are usually short if you go on the right day at the right time. bring some water and a snack to save money.

Yuck yuck yuck. While visiting the Los Angeles area my family decided more or less on a whim to check out this Six Flags theme park on a day we had nothing planned. Surely it would be just as fun as the other five or six we’ve been to? Well, at least, it might have been. All I remember about that day is how terribly hot and humid it was. And I didn’t realize it at the time, but Magic Mountain is actually located on an incline. I know it sounds miniscule but really, due to the different pressure of the atmosphere, I had a really hard time breathing. It was really overall unpleasant.

As far as the rides go, we rode a couple. The lines weren’t too bad except for the really popular ones. Which is to be expected. But what REALLY got me was the local people there. I couldn’t believe all the foul language comming out of the tiniest person. It was so bad I left a couple of lines because I couldn’t stand to hear the unnecessary jabber anymore.

At the end of the day we really cut it short. No one was having really any fun, but I blame that in large part to the heat. I don’t think I’ll ever be returning to this Six Flags.

Alot of people love this place, so don’t let me sway you too much. The park is pretty dirty. It reminded me of the subway in NYC, just gritty with a lingering aroma of sewage and garbage scattered on the ground. The shortest line there was over two hours long, waiting in the sun. To get on the more popular rollercoasters, I had to wait six to eight hours…again, in the direct sunlight. No shade. I was there the entire day, from open to close, and I was only able to ride a total of three rollercoasters with two breaks to eat. I don’t really remember the food, so I can’t say anything about that. To make the whole experience worse for me, there was a big gang fight that took place that day. I really disliked the experience and probably will never go back. On the positive side, though, I will say that the rollercoasters, once you do finally get on them, were awesome. Literally breathtaking.

I personally believe that if you’re a local, there’s no reason to stand in line for 2 hours for anything, ever. For $10 more than the daily admission, my husband and I got season passes (halfway through the year, granted). Yesterday, we went and found that there was 1.5-2hr wait time for even the older rides, so we had our pictures taken at the costumed picture place then went home.

Make sure you ride all the roller coasters….including X, and Deja Vu!!!

GOLIATH!!!

Definitely buy the souvenir cups! It’s about $9 and then refills all day are just $.99 each! It will save you more money in the long run!

Also, don’t forget to bring in any can of Coke to get the “buy one general admission ticket, get one free” deal. It’ll come to $30/a piece of you’re splitting it.
