A wonderful town with fantastic architecture and a walking tour of the buildings used in the movie “Roxanne”.

I lived in Nelson when I was about 16.
That time of my life remains to this day as the best time of my life.
Everyone is so friendly and there are so many amazing things you can do there…that is provided you like the outdoors..

Its such a nice little town. My papa grew up here, and his side of the family grew up there. Its just teh right size, its like a Canadian Betws-y-Coed, or Betws-y-Coed is a welsh Nelson. The thunder storms rock too.

Yup, born and raised a Nelsonite. Not exactly the easiest place to find a job, and if you are young you might be a little bored there ( I know I was for quite some time ) but Nelson remains one of my favorite places on earth. The skiiing/snowboarding at Whitewater is unbeatable, plus backcountrying galore. Hiking, mountain biking, anything to do with the lake, and almost every other outdoor sport is also covered. If you like camping anywhere in the area is fantastic.
I guess it’s not for everybody but I think it has at least something for everyone, and lots more for those who are culturally inclined!

I have lived in Nelson for 5 Months.
It’s another nice place to call home.
Whitewater Ski resort has amazing Powder Snow!!
Visa running out though.
I shall be returning to Australia soon.

Most people think Nelson is awesome and really pretty. I’ve lived in Nelson for YEARS! The government sucks, theres a high and ever rising poverty level, to rent and own a place to live…you have to be rich! I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with 6 people and we can hardly afford that! I guess Lakeside Park is nice though…but god I hate this town with a burning passionate hate…but if theres anything you wanna know about it I can tell you.
