Learn to love the roundabouts!!! Hey its not such a bad place

Diversity is not fantastic here. Not at all. I can’t even enjoy a stroll out or even walk to Asda to buy my groceries without harrassment.

Pregnancy rate? WOAH! I don’t know what it is about Swindon but holy cr*p, girls here are either too easy or guys don’t know what a condom is. I remember getting taught sex education ever since I was 9 in school. Common sense. If you want to have underage sex, at least do it right. I’m not trying to promote it but c’mon!

It’s a s*hole. I hate living so near it, it’s expanding at such a rate it’s going to swallow up my little village.

... While I think Swindon is much maligned, I’m also at a loss to see why anyone would particulalry ‘want’ to go there. There’s nothing wrong with the place per se, its just that to me its always been purely functional

I live in Swindon – have done since I was 10. I moved away 5 years ago because I thought I desperately hated the place – but I was wrong!!! Oh so wrong!!! Basingstoke is worse than Swindon!!! I like it here and glad to be back.

I can’t really remember the place. I know I had fun, but it was probably more the company than the place.

I love Jasper Fforde’s Thursday Next series and she lives in Swindon… I love to visit places familiar to me from books.
