Stanford University

A friend took me here when I first moved to the bay area. The campus is large and every building has beautiful architecture.

and pretty in the springtime (and most of the year, really), and people are smart, and there are all these wonderful professors, and San Francisco is less than an hour away, and there are so many things to do on-campus… but that doesn’t mean this is the right school for everyone (I don’t know that it was the right one for me!). The truth is, it doesn’t matter all that much where you go to school as long as you feel you can be happy there; Stanford will not make you a better person than you were before. Really. I promise. So think long and hard, and visit campus (sometime other than Admit Weekend if you want to see the real deal) and talk to real students about it before you decide. Heck, ask me if you want! But don’t assume that Stanford is better than School X because the rankings say so.

aagh i guess it’s worth just going there to take a look…it’s a nice campus, but dun think it’s a nice to study there….

I was here in 94, visiting my cousin who went to this great school, Stanford University! The surrounding of this school is so beautiful, loved the architectural buildings and murals on the walls which felt a bit like in Rome :).. Highly recommend anyone who’s living in the States now to go visit, at least once in their lifetime!

It was rainny for my visit but I had a great time anyway. I got to see most of the campus and meet a few students to get a feel for what it would be like to attend graduate school.

I enjoyed my visit at Stanford U. I found the architecture to be splendid. It’s definitely worth seeing.
