Engelberg

It’s called the Hotel Edelweis, and if I could move anywhere in the world, it would be back here. (But I don’t think they allow perminent guests…) These people are so nice, it’s almost unbelievable, but not in a bad way. We were there in JULY, but we went exploring into the basement, and what did we find? Lo and behold, they have a little mini-spa, which they fired up for us, after a funny look. (Who would want to sit in a sauna in JULY? We do!)
At dinner, they have desserts that ride around in a model train and you snatch them as they drive by, and the owner comes down with a stuffed monkey- he has an old organ grinder! This place is SOO Freakin’ Cute!

The Mt. Titlis is just beautiful. Unbelievable views and great skiing. The town is so beautiful, too. A really great experience all around.

it’s a charming, pretty town (which is something you can say about just any Swiss city, really). of course, most tourists come for Mt. Titlis… and that’s a real experience.

Lovely place – go there in March-April

June 1998- The hotel I stayed at was on the mountain overlooking several settlements and more mountains across from where we were. I woke up in the morning to a postcard perfect view with the sunrise glow on the snow.

Beautiful place for families and for bummers as well.

The scenery in Engelberg I think is one of the best.

the city of engelberg is such a nice small alp city, while there is not much to do in engelberg in the summer, there are plenty of beautiful views and plenty of things to do in nearby towns.

and i dont even ski! haha. i loved it so much.
