I was a little scared by the amount of raw/rare meat on my roast beef sandwich, since cold rare meat is always questionable, and by the price of the said sandwich, but it tasted great. The Apple crumble was great too, and I sat at the table under the when harry met sally scene sign. I’m afraid I didn’t have what she had though.

When they had you the little ticket as you walk in, keep it. You need it when you leave.

This place has been on my list forever, and I finally made it there when I realized that I might not be in NYC for too long…

It was quite an experience standing impatiently in the line, watching the staff cutting the meat, and staring jealously at the one in front who got to taste a couple slices of the pastrami being prepared.

The sandwich actually looked somewhat smaller to me – compared with all the pictures I’ve seen online. But they’re tasty and filling!

We also tried the cherry and cream soda. Both were good to wash down the overdose of meat, but thinking back, I don’t really recall anything special about them.

Now that’s a [slightly overrated and expensive] hot dog!

This place is great! Just don’t lose your ticket!!!

I got there on a Saturday around 12:30 and the place wasn’t too crowded. I ordered the pastrami on rye, added some mustard myself and tucked in. There was soo much meat that I just couldn’t finish it but it was delicious.

Best Corned Beef sandwich ever! A bit expensive, but well worth it.

The pastrami is just divine. Seriously, it melts in your mouth. Absolutely sublime food.
