Georgetown

It’s a fun place to spend an afternoon or evening while in DC.
There’s so many shops and places to eat. The waterfront is really nice too.

When you’re in Georgetown you absolutely have to check out the steps from the Exorcist movie (the first one). Georgetown is a great place to hang out, but going down (or up) those steps makes it so much cooler!

I went here in the 80s when the Hoyas were rocking and Patrick Ewing was doing his thing. But it’s a crying shame how impoverished the people here are.

Georgetown to me is like a mini New York City. There are restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. Some of the DC’s best shopping is here, and it’s got the traffic to show for it. The crowd is young, the area is hip, it’s on the water, and it’s a great place to walk around on the weekends after you have brunch.

It was that kind of place. Very city. Very village. Small town within the big city, but in a hip kind of way.

Many neat shops and restaurants. We used to do a lot of nightclubbing and barhopping in Georgetown when I was in high school and college.

I’ve only been to Gtown once. When I was in college a friend went to GU and I went to visit her for a weekend. She transfered the next year to Middlebury, and I have never had a reason to go back.

I loved commander salamander. Its a shame everything in this city is so expensive.
