Cape Coral

I think when the North section of the Cape gets built up to the level of the Southern portion, this city will be even better. Love the canals running through it.

I’m going to Tampa, and am going to clip this, and Port Charlotte off my list.

this is where I live….nothing to big going on except old people and real estate agents with too much money….hmmmmmmm

I live in Cape Coral, have for almost 5 years. Sorry to all the folks that want to complain about how BORING it is. That is why I came here, it is QUIET, no hustle bustle, NO SMOG…..it’s a quiet, small island-ish town. We locals don’t want this to turn into another Naples. If you want Naples, go to Naples! I moved here after almost dying from a cancer surgery when I was 30 years old. I had a long hard look at my life and decided that beautiful palm trees, peaceful living and the Caloosahachee River/Gulf of Mexico made for the perfect mix for where I would spend the rest of my blessed life.
People from Ft. Myers might call us snobs, teenagers might call this Cape Coma, but my family(including 9 yr old and 14 yr old) think it’s the greatest place. We love our ‘small town’ and hope that if YOU come to visit, you will appreciate the town for what it is, DON’T come here and act like a fool at our restraunts and local establishments, and leave it the way you found it…and please come back if you enjoyed it!!!
Someone mentioned that if you want excitement, it’s close by..it is, just over the bridge in Ft. Myers…I can see it from here, and like it to stay where it is. I’ll take my piece of Peaceful Paradise ANY DAY! Ok, off my soap box and back to the dolphin I was watching in my backyard! : )

Two of my rental properties that I’ve never seen are here.

I have lived in Cape Coral my whole life. There in’t anything to do ( as most people have already mentioned), but if you are willing to drive 30 minute out of town, then there is plenty to do, at least for me. I enjoy the smaller things in life…I.E: a walk in a nature park, watch sunset on a pier, View Manatees at State Park, Dinner overlooking the ocean, etc.
Now, as for Cape Coral itself…It’s a nice , quiet town to live in, but not to vacation at.

I live here, been living here for.. let’s say about 6 years. There’s nothing to do.. There is a little mall called CoralWood which absolutely sucks. The schools are horrible, but I’ve managed to survive so far. There’s no where to hang out except the movies, but that’s only when the cops aren’t following you around asking you to stop hanging around the movie and go buy a ticket. I can’t wait to move out.

There is nothing to do in Cape Coral! If I didn’t have family there, I wouldn’t go there either.

I went during Christmas ‘04. It’s a pretty place, but I didn’t really get to look around. I can see why some people might find it boring, and why some people really enjoy it. My aunt was harassing me the whole time, my parents were three months away from a divorce, and I got sick towards the end. Miserable vacation, but I can’t really say much about the place itself.
