Philadelphia Museum of Art

We got to the Museum with only 40 minutes left on a donation only Sunday & it was packed! I got to see the few Van Gogh & Monet’s I wanted to see but I really wanna go back and explore if I ever get back to Philly!

This museum needs more than one day if you hope to see the whole thing. I love the city in Spring and Fall – so I recommend these seasons for traveling through the city. If you plan to visit the museum, wear comfy shoes and plan to be there all day long.

I’ve been here several times and I still don’t think I’ve seen quite everything. If you don’t have a lot of money to spend, but still want to go, go on Sundays. Admission is by donation (whatever you see fit to give).

Yo, Adrienne, don’t miss the Rodin museum just up the parkway from PMA.

I realised this was in my places I wish I could go to list, and I’ve already been there!

Unless I meant when I put it in that I wanted to go back, because I do, but I just loved it sooooo much…what a wonderful place!

I especially like the armory and Japanese garden. This is a small museum compared to European counterparts. (you can finish it in half a day.) Worth the visit though.
Pseudo-Greek architecture is beautiful.

You’ll feel like Rocky as you climb the steps to the entrance, but you’ll feel like you’re in heaven inside this wonderful gallery.

We moved to Philly last year (2005) and we haven’t been to the museum yet.

I used to work here and each day was amazing. The works here are outstanding and completely inspiring.

First, if you go on Sunday, you can get in for no set admission fee—just pay what you wish.

Second, this is an impressive museum. I’m not the artsy type, and I was absolutely moved to tears by the beauty and the age of the works there. I cannot wait to go again!
