Moscow Metro

Quite impressive! I don’t think any other “metro” can compare to that one! It’s a whole underground palace. Marble everywhere, etc. Works as regular as clockwork and is pretty damn fast too!

The metro is essential, and as others said: cheap and wonderful. I had this random russian guy staring at me from the other side of the wagon for about five minutes, before I realized my t-shirt said: “I Masturbare I”. I actually bought a t-shirt with the subway map. Kind of tacky, but nice to have for pointing out where I stayed when I visited Moscow.

It’s kind of cool that all the stations are different, and every single one is full of decorations. The russians said this way it was easy to distiguish between stations, even if they weren’t paying attention to the speaker system.

Moscow can be a very expensive city to visit- hotel costs are astronomical, and the museums charge high-rates for foreigners.

If you want a cheap day, buy yourself a metro card and explore the moscow underground. Each station is a work of art- many are political, but some are just art for art’s sake.

Not only is the Moscow metro beautiful, but it is cheap & highly efficient (every 3 minutes in the daytime). Compared to London, Moscow underground travel is luxury.
