Valley Of Fire State Park
Worth visiting!
I have never seen anything like this place.
I hated being in a car with tinted windows with people that don’t enjoy breathing fresh air and would rather have them rolled up than rolled down.
I hiked up one of the mountains by Lone Rock with Aaliyah and it was so amazing.
I felt like I had reached the peak of my life, the top of all my accomplishements that I tried and failed in my past.
When you’re up there, who-knows-how-many feet in the air… everything is still.
You don’t make a sound, and you hear absolutely nothing.
You close your eyes and you think you’ve died.
There’s got to be something terribly wrong with you if you can stand over that land, those mountains, and not feel some kind of sorrow, or have to try not to get sand in your eyes while drying the tears from them because it’s just so damn beautifuly breathtaking.
You wonder how man can try to cover what nature gives us already.
We stopped at the Visitor’s Center, and I read the back of one of the postcards.
It said that there’s a meteor shower there four or five times a year, and the front of the postcard had a picture of the stary sky.
I almost cried just looking at that picture.
And I saw a billygoat!
