Ben's Chili Bowl

I thought Tommy’s in L.A. had the best chili (if you don’t mind the grease), but Ben’s Chili Bowl easily won me over. I ordered a chili half smoke, a chili cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, and all were delicious! I now see how their chili can make your hot dog bark.

We finally went to Ben’s yesterday. They open at 11am on Sundays (no breakfast), and we showed up around noon. I had the chili half smoke with mustard and onions for $4.80. Good stuff!

The people are super nice and friendly. They made us really feel at home while on vacation. The veggie chili was amazing too.

The food wasn’t as good as the hype made it out to be, but it’s still a fixture in the community.

It’s a nice place to go to, most Washingtonians have been there. And it’s got history. The chili isn’t bad either.
