Upland
Worth visiting!
Having grown up just south of the Upland border in Ontario, I spent many summer days making the short walk with my sister to Downtown Upland. We used to to to Upland Feed and Fuel back when they had that little crafts section inside… We were always in there buying litlte beads and things to make earrings and other jewelry.
I moved here about eight years ago, and I love it. I’d been working as a pizza delivery driver for Upland Round Table for a couple of years already, and I just knew I wanted to live here! I had that job for 10 years, having just quit last year! And not once in 10 years did I ever feel unsafe being a girl out there delivering pizzas! What can I say… it’s Upland.
It is such an easy city to learn and get around in… not to mention all the historical homes, many of which are a century old! With a job like that, I was able to really get to see so many of these homes up close and personal. I was even given quite a few tours!
I will never get tired of looking at all the beautiful homes up and down Euclid Avenue. I wish I could go inside every one of them and hear their stories.
There’s nothing missing here that any other city has. Upland is by no means a small town. But having all the old homes and the old buildings in and around Downtown Upland makes it just that much better!
If you like that sort of thing… you would definitely love Upland!

Not worth visiting!
I’ve lived here for the last 6 years or so and the only thing that really is fun here is the skatepark. I’d say the best part about it is that you’re five minutes away from the mountains and you’re about 30-45 minutes away from the beach. Upland isn’t really a place that you go to to have fun, but it’s a good spot in the middle of other places.

Not worth visiting!
I’m living in Upland, in the first house I’ve ever owned. It’s a nice enough place to live—our neighbors are good people (at least the ones who don’t put BUSH FOREVER signs on their lawns), but it’s about as much of a cultural wasteland as the rest of southern California.
There are some nice restaurants in the town center—Molly’s Souper and CafĂ© Allegro in particular. The town is kind of weird, a mix of antique stores verging on junk stores and very strange specialty stores (such as skateboard shops and a huge Chinese medicine place).
As I say, it’s okay for where it is, but it wouldn’t be worth going out of your way to visit. (If someone knows about something here that would be worth a visit, please let me know!)
