Arc De Triomphe

This is my favorite site in Paris—simple, but beautiful.. especially in the snow!

I don’t regret going (we wanted to do at least ONE tourist thing in Paris), but seriously, you can skip it! :)

This was one of my favorite places in Paris. Great views of the Eiffel Tower. I would definitely recommend it!

A widespread rumor I’ve heard about the French is that They are rude. I spent four days there exploring and came into contact with many locals who were eager to help direct me. Not rude in the least.

My boyfriend was really really looking forward to seeing this place, and we weren’t sure how to get to it. We took the metro to approximately where we thought it would be, and we walked up the stairs and there it was right in front of us! It was such an amazing surprise :)

So, anyone who has ever been knows that you can climb all these windy steps all the way up to the top, and so of course we go up! It had just rained a an hour or two ago, so the top was all wet and slippery. My buddy calls me over and me being the fool that I am decide to run over, and as I turn to start my feet come out right from underneath me and wham! right on my ass!!! All these people turn around and are like “uh…. ok” haha I had ZERO dignity left. And of course my friend is sitting there on the ground pissing herself laughing at me.

Do NOT try to cross the street to get to the Arc! There is a very nice tunnel which goes under this intersection, and if you value your life, it’s the way you’ll take.

The first time I went to this place I almost got hit by a car. The Arc is surrounded by a five or six lane round about. I’m sure the locals love tourists running around in traffic:) Careful!

After the fact, I found out a ton about architecture. I don’t think I could retell in accurately, but it is worth looking up.
