Great little town. Visited when I was 10 and as a previous entry said, the candy shop really is mind-blowing. I would love to go back one day.

5 months agoI am in love with Rockport. If I were ever to live up north I would pick this town. The movie The Love Letter was filmed here.
over 6 years agoGreat artistic colony – many small shops filled with artisans’ work. Definitely worth the drive!
over 6 years agoIt’s my hometown and I still love going back there. My brother (who lives in Chicago now) has been talking about moving back for years. It’s a great town whose population doubles in the summer! Certainly lots to do and see for a visitor. (I didn’t feel this way as a teenager living there, tho…)
over 6 years agoBest-kept little town on the coast! GORGEOUS and friendly.
over 7 years agoA lovely little beach town, though it may be corrupted by now. The candy selection at the general store blew my naive urban mind as a child. On the negative side, some guy hit on me on the beach there, when I was 11 and accompanied by my mom.
over 7 years agoI was just there today with some friends. We wandered around the downtown shopping area and walked to the point to watch the boats in the harbor and sit in the sun – idyllic. And the public restrooms are easily accessible and fairly clean.
over 7 years agoRockport is a neat small town on Cape Ann. Besides the cheap lobster, my favorite part is Halibut Point State Park, which includes a quarry and a rocky coastal shelf. You can often find interesting sea life (snails, hermi crabs, and starfish) in the tidal pools.
