Fremantle

If you like the cafe lifestyle Freo is fantastic!!!

I lived there for the first 8 years of my life. And yes I do remember it. The people are wonderful, the weather is great. I will be going back, perhaps moving back.

It was totally revamped after the America’s cup.

And I love it.

On 30 July 2006, we went to a beach in Fremental. It is a very beautiful beach. Long coast, big waves, many more sea birds.
We cooked BBQ on the beach, Chicken, Lamb, and so on. After lunch, we played basketball on a field near the beach. We had a nice weekend. :-)

Maybe I am just homesick.. Maybe I really really miss Freo. Fremantle is where my heart is. My favourite place in the world. I remember it is where I had my first date with an awesome guy.. and consequently a very special place to us.

I bought books at a discount in the quaint little bookstore, browse through the clothes and other paraphernalia at a tiny Indian themed, but Aussie owned shop, attended concerts at the fremantle hall, sun tanned at the freo beach, enjoyed fish and chips whilst keeping a guarded eye on the sea gulls, being served super dee duper delicious gelato ice cream by my good friend. There are so much memories on those tiny streets, each one significant to me, and only me.

Others probably have their own stories to tell, some good, some bad. But to me, fremantle will always be my favourite place and my little spot of sunshine to escape to, when life seems frenzied and jumbled up. I long to go back to Perth, if not just to soak up the atmosphere of Freo. I will be back, soon.

My life was almost sealed to Perth and Fremantle like 5 years ago, when we went there for a holiday and my dad almost wanted me to settle and live with my cousins and their families. I have cousins studying in perth and some aunts and uncles living in perth. I admit its a nice place which i totally adore, however fremantle is more of a destination where ill like to spend a month or two, and not my life. But, i really wanna go bck to perth for a holiday, after all the hustle and bustle in the hectic singapore. Hopefully ill be able to attend my cousins wedding next year in perth and it’ll be a great oppoturnity for me to visit Fremantle again (:

I love fremantle! Which is also why my screen name is Freo and also my dog is called Freo! I lived in Fremantle for 3 years and i absolutley adore the place. Love this place and want to go back now!!!!
