Saint Thomas aka: St. Thomas

Erick and I went on a week long cruise on 2/8 and our second port of call was St. Thomas. We went to coral world, and Magen’s bay beach. It was on 2/12 which was on our 8th wedding anniversary.

We went to Mountain Top and saw the spectacular views. The shopping is pretty good too.

My school has St. Thomas in the name. When ever I travel witha big group from school people always ask if we are from the island. We’re not but I think it would be cool to say I’ve been to St. Thomas the island.

I had an amazing time here, but there were some disappointing aspects. I was prepared for the commercialization- the unprescedented amount of diamond shops and the upscale homes. The thing I wasn’t prepared for was the level of destruction of the natural beauty of the island. The reefs are dead or dying, the coral barely existent and the fish more sparse than expected. It is, nonetheless, a beautiful island and a great place to go if you don’t want to leave the comforts of home, but still want a stunning place to visit.

I was married here on Magen’s Beach and it was absolutely WONDERFUL. After the wedding we went snorkeling and then to this fish place where I petted a baby nurse shark!!!

My husband and I had our wedding here while we visited as part of a cruise. The ceremony was on Limetree beach, with iguanas lazing around in the trees. (They later climbed down and tried to steal our cake!) When we got there, we met another couple who had gotten married on the same day, same place, celebrating their 3rd anniversary, and as we were leaving we met a second couple, celebrating their 30th. Everything was beautiful; we couldn’t have asked for anything better, and we’re already planning another visit for one of our anniversaries.

I went on a Carnival cruise. This place is beatiful! I didn’t go on the lift ride but it looks very nice from the pictures! I would definitely recommend vising St. Thomas!

I was able to live on St. Thomas for 4 months.
Go to Coki Beach Dive Club, located ON Coki Beach. Best dive prices on the island. If you’re not a certified diver, tell them you want to do a discovery dive.

Of all the stops we had on our cruise, this place was by far the greatest of them all. We had a Snuba excursion while we were there, and loved every minute of it. We also went up the tram, and got to watch a storm roll through. We are planning on going back, but not soon enough.
