I found it rather boring. The beach was hardly impressive. In fact it was rather dirty, and Im accustommed to the Jersey shore. True there were a few points of interest, if you are into history, as I am, but overall I’d pass.

We went to Main Beach on the island today. Beautiful place over all, but very crowded, even though it’s only April. If you’re just looking for a nice beach, and would prefer something a little quieter, you’d do better to go down to Little Talbot Island and pay a few dollars to get into the state park.

We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island for our honeymoon. We loved it!

I lived in Amelia Island / Fernandina Beach for over 5 years, I even met my wife there. From Bausch and Lomb to the shrimp boat festival it’s good times on the island.

A coworker went there on her honeymoon, and it just sounds like such a beautiful and romantic destination.

My family went to the Ritz for a few spring breaks and it was very relaxing, I like the small town atmosphere, very laid back, but I wouldn’t want to live there.

Every year the Women’s Tennis Association visits Amelia Island for the Bausch & Lomb Championship. I began going in 2000 and have been every year since. Amelia Island is beautiful and I have met some of the top women’s tennis players in the world. To name a few I’ve met: Martina Navratilova, Serena Williams, Jennifer Capriati and Monica Seles.
