Area 51

Camp out on the public land near Rachel, NV. Dine at the A’Le Inn. Maybe see some unidentifiable lights in the night sky. Avoid getting arrested for trespassing. Glow in the dark?

I heard you can get arrested for passing the boundary before even seeing Area 51. I believe it exists. Maybe one day I can take a helicopter over Area 51. Would that count as going
there.?.?

It’s nothing amazing, but if you have heard stories it’s nice to visit because the security shows that there is something there. You won’t really see much except for a sign warning you that you will be commiting a crime if you pass. When I went there was a parked Jeep Cheeroke watching us which was kind of eerie.

But there isn’t anything to see. Really.

Worth going to just to stay in the Little Ale-Inn (serves great chilli), and to see the no-entry signs.

oh what i wouldn’t give to be a fly on the wall inside area 51. to hear what they talk about inside this most secret of military installations. i have a feeling they aren’t discussing pinochle strategies. and if they are, then it’s “secret, military pinochle strategies”.

Spent the day exploring the Extraterrestrial Highway (NV 375); enjoyed lunch at the Little A’Le’Inn. It was my first solo road trip in an unfamiliar locale!
