Marginal Way walk

The walk on Marginal Way was too cool. Don’t forget your camera and don’t walk too fast!

A tip I have about this place

During the summer it is crowded, but everything is open. The water is cold at the beaches, the waves are big, but it’s safe enough to swim in. The Cliff House Resort is a great place to stay. I have good memories of going there with the fam as a kid. They have a rocky shoreline that’s fun to climb on, and a good brunch.

Going during the winter is an option, but call ahead for accomodations because a lot of places are closed there during the winter. You should find restaurants still open, though. It is really pretty during Christmas time because a lot of houses are all decorated and lit up for the season. If there is snow, it looks like your classic New England Christmas town. The beach is amazing to go on when there is snow on it. It is deserted, and you’ll feel like you are on a glacier.

A review of this place: Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful

This is one of my favorite places now. I just went here last summer for a few days and fell in love with the community, beach, restaurants and night life. There is much to do in this cool small seashore town. Many tourists, and friendly locals. If you love Lobster (yuk) your sure to find the best here. Very similar to Proviencetown but upscale.

A tip I have about this place

I went to Ogunquit back in 2004, it is an amazing, hidden treasure, I recommend going to the Cliff’s Hotel, it’s by far the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, the shops and the restaurants are great too, I highly recommend this place if you want to unwind, relax and get away from the city. Enjoy!

Great food. Like Marginal Way and walk to Perkins Cove. Normally I stay at Anchorage by the Sea or something like that. Very nice hotel with great pools and hot tubs. Always eat at the one restaurant in Perkins Cove it’s near the back… it’s a gift shop and then a restaurant in the back…ohhh I forget what it’s called.

Ogunquit, Maine

I have lived here off and on during the summer months since 1980. It is an incredible and amazing community to visit. Be ready for everything and anything in this “Beautiful Village By The Sea”. There is an old saying here that “what happens in Ogunquit stays in Ogunquit.” Once you have discovered Ogunquit, you will learn why so many people from all over the world keep returning, year after year. There is no place like it north of the equator. South of the equator is another place just like Ogunquit. So, if you love Ogunquit, you’ll also love Mar del Plata in Argentina!

Close to Boston

There is a lot going for Ogunquit. It is a charming artist colony with good eats, great views, pretty people, and proximity to people. Bar Harbor is great, but will take most people more time than they may be willing to take on a regular basis.

Ogunquit

Very quaint little village with wonderful walks, some great restaurants (gorged myself on chowder!) and little tourist shops. In the summer it is very busy! Some great bars too…
