I went hear for a candlelight vigil the night John Lennon died.

“gary”, the caretaker(unnofficially) takes care of them and they go to museums, charitys, and yoko ono. i went once on his birthday.. its amazing..

This had been on my to do list forever and finally went. Very cool memorial. I loved the flowers on the stone. I also watched the movie Across the Universe the next day and was excited to rediscover the Beatles again.

I went during the Puerto Rico Day parade… someone had left the British and Puerto Rican flags together. I touched the stone and wondered what happened to all John’s presents at the end of the day.

Everybody likes THe Beatles…

Dedication Plaque Central Park

I want to be the walrus too!

I was in town just to see a movie at the Lincoln Center and had some time to kill so went for a walk through the park (totally different from Rock Creek Park in DC).

I’m not a Lennon fan, but I found the memorial and its treatment as a shrine by so many to be fascinating. It’s like watching a religion being born.

I was just there this past weekend, but I’ve been there other times as well. I went when Harrisson died and i put roses on it for him. There were people singing and playing guitars and leaving artwork and flowers. It was beautiful
