Göteborg aka: Gothenburg

I’m going there in less than 2 weeks to visit a friend who I met in Valencia! I just decided the other day when I found an extremely cheap flight, and thought ‘why not?!’

Beautiful Swedish people, here I come!

Yes, I went to Goteborg soley to visit the Volvo museum – and it was all I ever hoped it could be!!

Needing an inexpensive place to sleep for a night on my 6-day tour through Norway/Sweden/Denmark… Any tips???

This place really feels like the second biggest city in Sweden – much more happening than in Malmo. I really enjoyed myself there and had a really good time visiting the archipelago, despite the average weather. It’s just so relaxing – like a permanent Sunday afternoon. Went to the opening weekend at Liseberg and that was a blast. If you are going there, definately get an all day pass for the rides. Also check out the store dedicated to selling waffles at Liseberg!

Just spent 5 days here and it was fantastic. With the warmer weather arriving, the atmosphere was lively and there was lots to see and do.

The trams are waaaay too expensive, but it was pretty easy to walk everywhere in the central areas.

Archipelago, botanical gardens, Avenyn and Liseberg all worth a visit.

I’d like to live somewhere overseas in the next year or so. Sweden is at the top of my list at the moment. I’ve never even visited Sweden yet. Perhaps this summer…

I have lived here for a few months, and have been back about 4 times since. It is a truly amazing place and the people are unbelievable! Really one of the nicest towns in Europe! Somebody knows a job here so I can finally move!! :)

One of the best ways to see Europe is to buy a Factory Delivery Volvo and drive it around. The packages which Volvo arranges includes drop off for shipment to the states in a dozen or more cities in Europe (even landlocked cities like Munich), Ferry passage to the mainland and a factory tour.

The Swedes are fantastic to boot.

Gothenberg is a wonderful city…

but I managed to have some fun there anyway. Just a three-day visit and most of it was packed with hard work, but the people are always friendly, the food and beer are fine if expensive, and most everyone speaks English. I’m always happy to visit Sweden, even if at the moment it is 15 below zero celsius.

Visited a lovely restaurant called popcorn, if you live near there or visit I highly recommend you visit it, it is AMAZING. An imaginative menu with an excellent wine chart, and friendly staff.
